Carlo Ancelotti says Jordan Pickford will return for Everton's next Premier League match against Manchester United this weekend.
The England international was dropped for the 2-1 loss away to Newcastle over the weekend, with summer signing Robin Olsen replacing him in goal.
Everton manager Ancelotti insists he was impressed by Olsen's performance but confirmed Pickford will return for the visit of United on Saturday.
"He (Olsen) played well and I can say to you he's going to play again - but not against United," Ancelotti said. "In my career, I am used to rotating the goalkeepers. It happened at Real Madrid, it happened also at Napoli. It will not be the last time, of course."
Everton moved to sign Olsen on a season-long loan from Roma last month as Ancelotti looked to provide serious competition for under-fire goalkeeper Pickford.
The former Sunderland shot-stopper has made the joint-most errors leading to goals of any top-flight goalkeeper since the start of last season, with his shaky form continuing into the current campaign.
Ancelotti reiterated his trust in Olsen over the weekend but insists he retains a lot of faith in Pickford as well.
He added: "This doesn't mean that we don't have trust in Jordan - we have a lot of trust in Jordan. There's no doubt about this."
