Carlo Ancelotti confirms Everton contract talks with Lucas Digne

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Everton will enter talks with Lucas Digne over a new contract.

Digne signed a five-year contract when he joined from Barcelona in the summer of 2018 for an initial fee of £18m but Ancelotti and director of football Marcel Brands are keen to reward him for his progress.

The full-back has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League and is also a regular for the French national team.

"It will not be a problem to renew the contract of Digne. He is happy to be here and we are happy with him."
