Carl Starfelt comes clean as Celtic fans dig out hilarious music video while he can't split Henrik Larsson and Zlatan

Celtic defender Carl Starfelt has cleared up a hilarious video that surfaced around the time of his signing.

The centre-back has been a key component of the rearguard that has conceded the fewest goals of the Premiership and the foundation this season's title run has been built on.

But upon his July arrival from Rubin Kazan some fans dug up a hilarious clip that showed him in a wig singing along in a mock music video.

In a special fan Q&A, the man himself was made to explain the clip.

He said: "I hope I don't have to do this again!

"This was with Rubin (Kazan) and for our coach's birthday. When I did it I didn’t realise it would always be on the internet!

"Another funny thing is that it's actually me singing."

Even when quizzed by the Parkhead masses he couldn't put club icon Henrik Larsson above national hero Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 'King of Kings' netted 242 goals in 315 games for the Hoops before moving on to Barcelona.

Also formerly of the Camp Nou is Ibrahimovic who also turned out for Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain in an exceptional career.

And asked who his favourite Swedish player is, Starfelt replied: "I have two!

"Zlatan Ibrahimovic and of course Henrik Larsson!"

The centre-back has improved massively as he's settled into Scottish football, conceding the fewest league goals alongside partner Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Asked what area of his game has improved the most this term, he answered: "I think it would be how I play with the ball now.

"To be more secure with the ball and more relaxed under pressure.

"I would say it's more high tempo and physical here so a lot of duels and tackling. It's always really intense compared to the previous leagues I played in."
