Rubin Kazan manager Leonid Slutsky has claimed Celtic will pay a record transfer fee for Carl Starfelt.
The Swedish defender will move to Celtic Park soon with confirmation expected over the next 48 hours.
Starfelt will join as a replacement for Kris Ajer with the wantaway defender nearing a move to Brentford after a fee was agreed.
And Slutsky has confirmed that Ange Postecoglou will get his man he’s delighted with the fee on the table.
It’s believed he could cost around £5m with the Russian boss telling Match TV: "These are the rules of the game. If we receive an interesting offer that is beneficial to everyone, we are forced to accept it.
"This confuses plans a little, but such a situation can always happen. It is possible that someone else will leave us this summer. That's normal.
"I'm glad this is happening. When the transfer takes place officially, it will be the club's record transfer."
Celtic are set to add a number of players to their squad with Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi joining from Vissel Kobe while Liel Abada, Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide have all already signed on.
