Carl Frampton reveals music guilty pleasure and all-time favourite band

Carl Frampton has revealed how he once went to a Fleetwood Mac concert on his own as he couldn't find anyone to go with.

The music-mad boxer got tickets for one of the legendary group's gigs in Las Vegas.

Frampton saw Fleetwood Mac perform at the T-Mobile Arena ahead of his fight with Tyler McCreery last November.

"I love Fleetwood Mac. They are my favourite band of all time," the Jackal told The Lockdown podcast with Philip Reynolds.

"I went to see Fleetwood Mac in Vegas two fights ago. I went on my own because nobody would go with me.

"It was at the T-Mobile Arena. It was weird being on your own at a concert when every single person is with at least one other person.

"I felt like an absolute oddball but I enjoyed it and I am glad I went."

Frampton added: "There were some English guys who spotted me in the line, and I was on my own. I didn't have to say anything.

"They came over and asked for a photograph and the first thing I said to them was, 'yeah, no problem, but all my mates are already inside'.

"I was embarrassed going to a concert on my own.

"I am 33, and all the guys I was over with are in their early 20s. They didn't even know who Fleetwood Mac were, which is a shame."

Frampton also revealed two of his musical guilty pleasures.

"My two guilty pleasures are Mariah Carey and Gabrielle," Frampton said.

"Mariah has one of the best voices of all time. I love good voices. Gabrielle as well."

Frampton is a keen singer himself, and says he wants to learn how to play the guitar or ukulele.

"I love singing, and I sing every chance I get. I wish I was better singer. I feel that I am okay sometimes," he said.

"I think there would be nothing better than being able to do a few tunes. Just have a few up my sleeve.

"Whip a guitar out at a party and do a few songs, that would be unreal."
