Police are searching for a group of people wanted in connection to three carjackings in Little Village since mid-December.
In each incident, two to six young men carjack a victim at gunpoint, Chicago police said in a community alert.
The carjackings happened:
- about 1:50 a.m. Dec. 17 in the 3800 block of West 28th Street;
- about 9:15 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 2800 block of South Avers Avenue; and
- about 6:45 a.m. Jan. 9 in the 3900 block of West 31st Street.
Carjackings in Chicago more than doubled in 2020 compared with the year before.
