Police are searching for a group of people wanted in connection to three carjackings in Little Village since mid-December.

In each incident, two to six young men carjack a victim at gunpoint, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The carjackings happened:

  • about 1:50 a.m. Dec. 17 in the 3800 block of West 28th Street;
  • about 9:15 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 2800 block of South Avers Avenue; and
  • about 6:45 a.m. Jan. 9 in the 3900 block of West 31st Street.

Carjackings in Chicago more than doubled in 2020 compared with the year before.

Police asked anyone with tips to call Area Four detectives at 312-746-8253.
