Caring mum Elaine is recognised with our Say It With Flowers award

A kindhearted family woman has been recognised for all the hard work she does for everyone.

Elaine Fallan is always there when her family need her, even after having a tough year following the passing of her mother.

The 56-year-old lost her mum, Rae O'Hare, in November last year which she found devastating but managed to soldier on and continue to be there for the ones who love her most.

In December last year, Elaine also took her grandson, Jake, into her care and he now lives with her.

Elaine's daughter, Donna Quinn, speaks highly of her mum and everything that she does for those around her.

She told Lanarkshire Live : "My mum does absolutely anything for anyone, she is always there when people need her.

"She had a rough year after her mum passed away and it really affected her. She was really close to her mum so this was a big shock to her.

"Just a month later she took her grandson into her care and he still lives there with her.

"On top of all this, she continued to work in Wishaw General as a domestic assistant where she has worked for a good number of years now.

"She has always been a kind-hearted and good-natured woman and she never seems to take a minute to herself."

Elaine, who stays in Shotts, has two children, Donna and Tracy, and five grandchildren in Morgan, Jake, Abbie, Liam, and Ella.

When Donna got in touch to nominate her mum for the flowers we were only happy to oblige and provided this stunning bouquet, courtesy of our friends in Pixies Petals.

Donna said: "I think this will show my mum that we do appreciate her and everything she does for us.

"It will be nice to give her some recognition for a change."
