Two caring and generous community workers have been recognised for the tough work they carry out.
Catherine Craig and Pat McCulloch work with the community to help those who are vulnerable or need the right support.
They will help provide basic needs such as furniture and food to those who need it the most.
Elizabeth Nicholson got in touch with us to nominate the pair, as she felt the work they have done this year shouldn’t go unnoticed.
And Elizabeth was gushing in her praise for the pair.
She said: “I think the work that they do is incredible and they really are passionate about helping people who need it.
“They are always on the lookout for people who might need some support, and are always willing to try and help them with whatever they need.
“They can help provide things like beds for families who maybe can’t afford them, and they do all the work themselves which is brilliant.”
We helped Elizabeth thank the two by providing these stunning flowers, courtesy of our friends at Pixies Petals in Newmains.
Elizabeth surprised Catherine and Pat when she invited them over to her Cambusnethan home, where they were gifted the flowers.
Elizabeth added: “I think we need more people like Catherine and Pat, people who really care about the people in their community,
Lanarkshire and five other local areas facing stricter restrictions.
“They never ask for anything in return for their work and they are so dedicated to giving the right help to people.
“They really are an inspiration to everyone in Wishaw.”
