A trivia night on the weekend and silent auction that finished at midnight on Monday tipped the final tally very close to $40,000, with all the money to be distributed directly to the affected families on the South Coast.
Canberra Labor MP Alicia Payne was among those who attended the trivia night at The Pedlar on Saturday night and mentioned the Nerrigundah fundraiser as she gave a moving condolence speech on the bushfires this week.
