TelevisaUnivision has unveiled the nominees for the 2026 Premios Juventud, announcing that Mexican singer Carín León leads this year's field with nine nominations as the awards prepare for a historic first: broadcasting from Europe. The ceremony will air live Sept. 3 from the Starlite Amphitheater in Marbella, Spain, marking the first time the annual celebration of Latin music has been held outside the Americas.
The 23rd edition of the awards also introduces PJ Fest, a six-day celebration designed to expand Premios Juventud beyond a single awards show into a broader festival featuring concerts, fan events and digital experiences across Miami, Houston, Los Angeles and Marbella.
Following León's nine nominations, Colombian singer Beéle, Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Kany García and Puerto Rican superstar Rauw Alejandro each earned seven nods. Close behind are Eladio Carrión, Farruko, Karol G, Manuel Turizo, Ovy On The Drums, Quevedo, Romeo Santos, Shakira and Xavi, who each received six nominations.
This year's ceremony will recognize artists, television personalities, streaming productions, digital creators and pop culture figures across 50 categories. Organizers also announced the debut of the "Creator de España" category, recognizing Spain's digital creators while reflecting the growing cultural ties between Spain and Latin America.
Unlike many industry awards, Premios Juventud winners are selected entirely by fans. Voting is now open and will remain available through Aug. 10 on the show's official website.
The launch of PJ Fest represents one of the biggest changes in the awards show's history. Instead of centering all programming around the televised ceremony, TelevisaUnivision is expanding the brand into a weeklong entertainment event that includes live performances, immersive fan activations and exclusive digital content before arriving in Spain for the main event.
The festival begins Aug. 29 in Miami with the popular Bresh Party before heading to Houston on Aug. 30 for "El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo Fest," focused on regional Mexican music. Miami hosts another event Aug. 31 with an exclusive Jay Wheeler concert, followed by a Sept. 1 celebration in Los Angeles featuring Piso 21. On Sept. 2, Morat headlines the ViX Música Sessions alongside creators Calle y Poché before the festivities conclude Sept. 3 with the live awards show in Marbella. Several of the events will stream on ViX, YouTube, Facebook and Univision platforms.
TelevisaUnivision said additional details, including this year's hosts, performers and special honorees, will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets for the ceremony at Marbella's Starlite Amphitheater are already on sale.
