A career adviser has gone viral after explaining how to best answer the "most annoying" interview question.
TikToker Erin McGoff has received hundreds of thousands of likes for telling how she would go about answering the "tell me about yourself" question.
Starting the video, Erin says some of the things you should not say, including "isn't everything you need to know already on my resume" and "Well, I like to play tennis, I have a cat named Carl".
Instead, Erin recommends you use this template - education and past experience, current job and ambitions.
She says in the video: "So I'm from the DC area and I studied journalism at the University of Maryland because I want to stay close to home and eventually work in the new scene in DC.
"I currently work at Politico and I really enjoy my job there and the news stories that I get to cover.
"I've always been fascinated by the use of audio medium to tell stories, and of course it has always been a dream of mine to work for NPR, so I'm really excited to be here today and meeting you and learning more about the opportunities here."
