A woman has been left devastated after her car was torched beyond repair outside her home.
Tania Garwood was at her home in Newport on Thursday, December 2, when her neighbour called around and told her her car was on fire.
"My neighbour came knocking on my door at about 8.20pm to say my car was on fire," she said. "I was in my kitchen so I hadn't noticed anything."
Tania, who lives in Bettws Lane with her son, said she quickly ran outside to see her blue Hyundai i30 completely engulfed in flames.

"We ran out and it was already well alight, up in a ball of flames," she said, adding that her neighbours had already phoned the fire services by the time she became aware of the incident.
Tania said fire services arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire just after 9pm. But she said her car had been totally destroyed by this time.
"I only had it serviced a few hours before. It was nine years old but it was in immaculate condition," she said.
"There were neighbours panicking about the car next to it which the owners only bought recently. They were worried that might go on fire too."
Tania, a care home worker, said she has reported the incident to Gwent Police and said she has been left "shocked" by what had happened.
She said that while she was hoping to get money from her insurance company, the incident would affect her no-claims bonus as well as leaving her without her own transport.
She said she said she felt targeted and afraid to leave the house since the incident, adding that she will have to walk or get a lift from her son to get to work.

"I feel sick, I can't eat," she said. "We have not slept because of it. We are worried now, we feel unsafe.
"My brother died last year and his partner has just been diagnosed with cancer so I've been bringing her around. I obviously can't do that now.
"I've never done anything to hurt anybody."
