Care home residents share dating advice on Valentine's Day - and it's amazing

Care home residents in Wigan have shared their pearls of wisdom on what to look for in love on Valentine’s Day. 

Residents at The Oaks care home in Hindley Green have given their best dating advice as part of a “fun exercise” with staff.

Here’s what they had to say... 

"If he becomes a pain, send him back to his mother,” Margaret R, 74, said. 

Brenda T, 85, advised: "Never go to bed on a bad word."

Florence, 82, added: "Find a man with plenty of money and short of breath." 

Ken, 84, said: "Always test their cooking skills before you ask them to marry you!"

Wigan Council shared the ‘Valentine’s Secrets’ with its followers on Facebook.

In a post, the authority said: “Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

“We thought we would share some pearls of wisdom about dating from residents at The Oaks care home in Hindley Green after they took part in a fun exercise with staff this week.”
