Care home deal sees Knights add third Lincolnshire property to portfolio

A 67-bed specialist care home in Scunthorpe has been bought by an expanding Chesterfield provider.

Knights Care has swooped for the CQC-registered and purpose-built Randolph House, with the facility sold off an asking price of £1.5 million.

It provides dementia and residential care, as well as day and respite care for up to 70 people on Ferry Road West, adjacent to Trent View Medical Practice and Scunthorpe Congregational Church.

The business was previously managed by Burlington Care on behalf of an investment fund.

Adam Knights, managing director of the eponymous business, launched in 2006, said: “We are extremely excited to bring Randolph House on board to the Knights Care family.”

The business now has five homes in its portfolio, with Randolph joining two others in Lincolnshire - Drovers Call, Gainsborough and Ladysmith, Grimsby, as well as Abbey Court in Leek, Staffordshire and The Maple in Stockton-On-Tees.

The sale was handled by Julie Kitson, director at Christie & Co.

She said: “I am delighted to have been able to assist Knights Care in purchasing Randolph House and am sure it will be an excellent addition to the group.

"On behalf of Christie & Co and our clients, we wish Knights Care every success and look forward to working with them again in the near future.”
