Care GP to Roll Out AI Technology Across 7,000 Australian GP Clinics

Care GP to Roll Out AI Technology Across 7,000 Australian GP Clinics

Care GP, an Australian startup specializing in AI for healthcare operations, has announced plans to expand its AI services to 7,000 general practitioner (GP) clinics nationwide. The move comes as the company reports significant growth in the adoption of its AI agents, which are designed to automate administrative tasks in healthcare settings.

Since its launch six months ago, Care GP has seen a 140% increase in usage month-on-month, currently serving over 150 GP clinics without any customer attrition. The company's AI technology, led by its initial agent 'Samantha', processes and allocates medical documents, saving clinics an average of 4.3 hours of administrative work daily. This efficiency helps reduce human error in document filing, thereby minimizing associated risks and liabilities.

Care GP plans to leverage its current client base and high pilot conversion rate to acquire 600 new customers by the end of 2026. CEO Melvin Chen, who has extensive experience in startup ventures, intends to focus on further product development and strategic partnerships to support this growth. "Healthcare clinics across Australia are under immense pressure, and we believe AI can free them from hours of burdensome admin so they can get back to doing what they do best: caring for patients," Chen stated.

The expansion plan follows financial backing from angel investor Ryan Vo, CEO of Nuvo Health, and Startmate Ventures, among others. Vo commented on the importance of the technology, stating, "Care GP is addressing one of the most critical pain points in general practice, and the early results are impressive."

The company's success highlights the increasing demand for AI solutions to alleviate administrative burdens in the healthcare sector. With additional AI agents like 'Veronica', a voice AI receptionist, Care GP is poised to further enhance operational efficiency in clinics across the country.
