Cards QB Kyler Murray was electric vs. Eagles last week

One of the biggest upsets of the season happened last weekend in the City of Brotherly Love.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been going through it in a bad way during the second half of the season. Having lost three straight games from Weeks 13-15, the Birds got off the schneid with a closer than expected 33-25 win over the New York Giants to put themselves back in the driver’s seat for the NFC East.

Well, that lasted all of one week, because in Week 17 the Eagles were upset by the visiting Arizona Cardinals 35-31. Arizona scored a touchdown on all four second half possessions, and did not punt once. The only possessions that did not result in points were one that ended in an interception, and one right before time in the first half expired.

Leading the way for the Cardinals was their embattled quarterback Kyler Murray, who was sublime. Murray completed 25-of-31 passes for 232 yards, three touchdowns, an interception, and 24 yards on the ground. All three of his touchdown passes came in the second half, and led a 70 yard game winning drive in the final minutes.

Needless to say, the Seahawks should absolutely not be taking their upcoming opponents lightly. The Cardinals have been frisky all year long, and with the dynamic edge Murray brings to the quarterback position, they are dangerous. I’m sure they would love nothing more than to play spoiler for Seattle’s season.

The Seahawks’ defense has been back to unspeakably atrocious in recent weeks. They will need to figure something out in a hurry unless they want to end the year being torched in the desert.
