Cardonald: Man charged in connection with alleged theft from Glasgow graveyard

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged theft from a graveyard in Glasgow.

Police were called in response to the alleged incident at Cardonald Cemetery on Friday night.

Officers have since confirmed a 52-year-old man is now the subject of a report which will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.30 pm on Friday, 23 July, 2021, police were called in relation to an alleged theft of items from a graveyard in Cardonald Glasgow.

"A 52-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal."
