Cardinals would have 11th pick in 2020 draft if season ended now

The Arizona Cardinals currently sit with a 3-5-1 record in 2019. They aren’t as good as they would like to be but they also are not as awful as they have been. After a, 0-3-1 start, they won three straight and now have had two straight losses to two of the best teams in the entire league.

How things currently stand, though, they will not be among the contenders for the No. 1 pick in next year’s NFL draft.

If the season were to end today, according to the updated draft order by Draft Wire managing editor Luke Easterling, the Cardinals wouldn’t even have a top-10 pick. They would be No. 11 overall.

Who have been the No. 11 pick over the last few years?

  • In 2019, the Cincinnati Bengals selected tackle Jonah Williams.
  • In 2018, the Miami Dolphins selected defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick.
  • In 2017, the New Orleans Saints selected cornerback Marshon Lattimore.
  • In 2016, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected cornerback Vernon Hargreaves.
  • In 2015, the Minnesota Vikings selected cornerback Trae Waynes.

It would appear if the Cardinals end up with the 11th pick, they are pretty much destined to take a cornerback.
