Cardinals will have to make some cuts to add draft picks

The Arizona Cardinals currently have 85 players under contract on their roster. They have 11 draft picks to sign. They can have 90 players on the roster in the offseason.

Once the team starts inking their picks to contracts, they will have to cut some players. It won’t happen all at once, but after they get five draft picks signed, the will be at capacity on their roster.

Where will the cuts come from on the roster?

One likely area is the offensive line. They have 20 under contract now and two draft picks to add.

They have 11 receivers under contract and three draft picks.

They have 10 cornerbacks under contract and one draft pick to sign at the position.

They have 10 defensive linemen and two to sign from the draft class.

They can’t keep everyone, not even in the offseason.
