The Arizona Cardinals played 49 offensive snaps in their 31-9 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Let’s see how that playing time was divided up and what it means.
Quarterback

Kyler Murray, 46; Brett Hundley, 3
This was the first time Hundley had seen any action all season. It was the final three snaps of the game when things had gotten out of control. No longer can we say that Murray has played every snap this season.
Running back

Chase Edmonds, 30; Zach Zenner, 19
Zenner would not have played so much had Edmonds not have gotten hurt. What was interesting was how Alfred Morris was not active for the game. Zenner did not play on special teams.
Wide receiver

Damiere Byrd, 43; Christian Kirk, 42; Larry Fitzgerald, 39; Trent Sherfield, 26; Pharoh Cooper, 1; Andy Isabella, 1
Kirk’s return really cut into Cooper’s and Isabella’s playing time. KeeSean Johnson didn’t even get to dress for the game.
Tight end

Maxx Williams, 20; Charles Clay, 20; Darrell Daniels, 4
Williams and Clay continue to almost perfectly split snaps, while Daniels gets plays here or there.
Offensive line

D.J. Humphries, 49; Justin Pugh, 49; A.Q. Shipley, 49; J.R. Sweezy, 49; Justin Murray, 49
Again, every starter plays every single snap. Through half a season, four of the five starters have not come off the field and Murray has played every snap of the six games he has started.
