The Arizona Cardinals played 63 defensive snaps in their Week 4 27-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. How was the playing time divided up? Let’s see how the playing time was split and what it meant.
Defensive line

Rodney Gunter, 53; Corey Peters, 48; Jonathan Bullard, 34; Miles Brown, 8; Clinton McDonald, 5; Zach Allen, 3
Allen was not in the starting lineup and played only three snaps, which was a change. He did leave in the first half with a shoulder injury. Brown played more than McDonald, which is interesting. Bullard got a lot of playing time and started. He had a sack.
Linebackers

Jordan Hicks, 63; Haason Reddick, 63; Chandler Jones, 58; Terrell Suggs, 46; Cassius Marsh, 20; Brooks Reed, 5; Joe Walker, 1
It would appear that Hicks and Reddick will never leave the field. Marsh continues to get an increased number of snaps. Walker came in for a goalline defense. Suggs was great in 46 snaps.
Defensive backs

Byron Murphy, 63; Budda Baker, 62; D.J. Swearinger, 62; Tramaine Brock, 61; Kevin Peterson, 29; Chris Jones, 7; Deionte Thompson, 2
The biggest change was the move from Jones to Peterson. Jones had been coming in as a nickel corner. He only played seven snaps before the Cardinals brought in Peterson.
