In their season-ending 31-24 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 17, the Arizona Cardinals played 82 defensive snaps. Let’s see how that playing time was divided up and what it could mean.
Defensive line

Corey Peters, 60; Caraun Reid, 56; Zach Kerr, 41; Miles Brown, 19; Michael Dogbe, 13
Peters played a little more than normal. We continue to see Reid get significant playing time. He is a guy to watch for next year.
Linebacker

Jordan Hicks, 82; Chandler Jones, 82; Joe Walker, 72; Cassius Marsh, 47; Haason Reddick, 32; Kylie Fitts, 13; Zeke Turner, 3
Jones rarely plays every snap but with 20 sacks and the sack record in reach, he didn’t come out of the game. Hicks finished the season playing every snap on defense all year.
Defensive backs

Patrick Peterson, 82; Byron Murphy, 82; Jalen Thompson, 79; Budda Baker, 78; Chris Jones, 50; Chris Banjo, 11
The Cardinals played goalline defense three snaps, which took the safeties off the field. Baker was replaced by Banjo one play when he hobbled off the field. Banjo also played 10 snaps as a sixth defensive back, replacing Joe Walker.
