Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10, the Arizona Cardinals played a whopping 85 defensive snaps. Let’s see how that playing time was divided up and what it means.
Defensive line

Corey Peters, 56; Rodney Gunter, 53; Jonathan Bullard, 43; Zach Kerr, 29; Michael Dogbe, 10
With Clinton McDonald on injured reserve, there was no one left on the bench except for Zach Kerr, who is still hurt. Dogbe played a season-high 10 snaps.
Linebackers

Jordan Hicks, 85; Chandler Jones, 79; Haason Reddick, 64; Terrell Suggs, 62; Cassius Marsh, 30; Joe Walker, 24; Pete Robertson, 5
Robertson got his first playing time of the year. With Reddick playing so much, we can see the Cardinals were in nickel defense most of the game. They were in goalline for three snaps. That is why Reddick’s and Walker’s combined total of snaps is three more than the 85 there were in the game. They were on the field together for three plays in a goalline defense.
Defensive backs

Budda Baker, 85; Byron Murphy, 82; Jalen Thompson, 82; Patrick Peterson, 71; Kevin Peterson, 64; Chris Jones, 10; Chris Banjo, 3
Peterson missed what would have been 11 defensive snaps. Banjo got his first playing time of the season on defense. Murphy and Thompson only came off the field for their goalline defense.
