The Arizona Cardinals have begun to schedule official visits with NFL draft prospects. They may hold 30 official visits. One of them will be Texas A&M center Erik McCoy, according to Draft Wire’s Justin Melo.
McCoy has official visits set up with five teams, including Arizona.
McCoy is an underclassman entering the draft after starting three seasons. He played mostly at center but also a few games at guard.
He was a team captain in 2018 and a leader on a line that helped the Aggies rush for over 2,000 yards three straight seasons.
He was given a lot of team honors last season. He earned the Offensive Unselfish Leader award, as well as the Offensive Leadership Award, Offensive MVP Award, Junior Academic Award and Strength and Conditioning Offensive Aggie Award at the team’s annual banquet.
The Cardinals like where they are at center but McCoy would not be a bad selection at all. He is expected to be drafted on Day 2 f the draft.
