Cardinals to get only private workout with ASU WR N’Keal Harry

The Arizona Cardinals appear to have serious interest in a local wide receiver. A year after selecting Christian Kirk, a high school star from Scottsdale, in the second round of the 2018 draft, they are now taking a good, hard look at former Chandler High and Arizona State receiver N’Keal Harry.

He already had a visit with the Cardinals at their headquarters earlier in the month and now he will have a private workout with them, according to ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss.

Weinfuss reports the Cardinals will have their top decision makers present with president Michael Bidwill, general manager Steve Keim, coach Kliff Kingsbury and also wide receivers coach David Raih.

Harry is projected to be drafted anywhere from the late first round to the early second round. The Cardinals have the first pick in the second round.

Harry caught 73 passes last year for 1,088 yards and seven touchdowns. He also averaged nearly 17 yards per punt return and scored a touchdown. He had more than 1,100 receiving yards in 2017.

He is big, physical, has good speed and is hard to tackle. Harry has great hands and is best when going up and getting the ball.

Should the Cardinals draft Harry, it would continue a trend of adding players with local ties, as they have signed several players this offseason who are from Arizona.
