Cardinals sign former AAF OL Brant Weiss

The Arizona Cardinals replaced one former AAF offensive lineman with another. After waiving Jeremiah Poutasi, the team announced it signed lineman Brant Weiss.

Weiss played for the Arizona Hotshots until the league shut down operations. He was a teammate of Andrew Lauderdale, whom the Cardinals signed last week.

Weiss actually was on the Cardinals roster last offseason. He signed with the team as an undrafted rookie right after the 2018 draft out of Toledo.

The 6-6, 297-pounder was among final cuts after the 2018 preseason.

He earned decent grades with his one game played for the Hotshots, according to Pro Football Focus.
