Cardinals select Iowa State WR Hakeem Butler in 4th round

The Arizona Cardinals have ended the fall of one of the more intriguing wide receiver prospects in the NFL draft. Using the first pick in the fourth round, they selected Iowa State receiver Hakeem Butler.

Butler was predicted to go as high as the first round by some.

Butler improved each of the three years he played for Iowa State. he had 60 receptions for 1,318 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2018. he is 6-5 and fast. He ran the 40 in 4.48 seconds and has a 36-inch vertical leap.

Coming from the Big 12, Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury has seen him play. In fact, he caught four passes for 148 yards and a touchdown when he played Texas Tech.

He makes the second receiver the Cardinals have selected in the draft and shows the team is committed to remaking the talent at the position.
