Cardinals QB Kyler Murray up for ESPY

Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Kyler Murray could get another award. He already won the Heisman Trophy for his play in 2018 with Oklahoma, when he threw for more than 4,000 yards and rushed for more than 1,000. He led the Sooners to the college football semifinals.

Now, he is in the running for an ESPY. ESPN announced the nominees for the yearly awards for top performers and performances each year, and Murray is one of four up for Best College Athlete.

The other three nominees are: Duke basketball player Zion Williamson, expected to be selected No. 1 overall in the NBA draft this week; UCLA softball player Rachel Garcia; and Oregon basketball player Sabrina Ionescu.

All four won the award for the top player in their sport; Williamson and Ionescu won the Wooden Award, while Garcia was the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.

The awards show will air on July 10 on ABC.
