Cardinals QB Kyler Murray named 2019 NFL Offensive Rookie of Year over Myles Sanders

The 2019 NFL rookie class was full of breakout stars, but none more dynamic or transforming than Kyler Murray.

Kyler Murray turned the Arizona Cardinals into an offensive juggernaut and on Saturday night, he was named the 2019 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year during Saturday’s NFL Honors in Miami.

The No. 1 overall became the first former Heisman trophy winner selected first overall to win Offensive Rookie of the Year honors since Cam Newton in 2011. Murray also joined Newton as the only QBs with 3,500-plus pass yards and 500-plus rush yards in their rookie seasons in NFL history.

Sanders carved out a significant role in the Eagles backfield and should provide Carson Wentz with security in the backfield for years to come.

The second-round pick out of Penn State emerged late in the season finished first among rookies in scrimmage yards (1,327) and all-purpose yards (1,641).
