Cardinals promote P Ryan Winslow from practice squad

The Arizona Cardinals announced a roster move on Saturday, suggesting that punter Andy Lee will be unable to play against the Seattle Seahawks. Punter Ryan Winslow was promoted to the active roster on Saturday.

Lee injured his hip in the fourth quarter of the Cardinals’ 38-20 loss to the Carolina Panthers and he did not practice all week.

The team added Winslow, who spent the offseason and preseason with the team, to the practice squad, because of the uncertainty of Lee’s availability.

With the promotion to the active roster, it would suppose to be that Lee will get the game off. Winslow, who averaged 46.9 yards per punt in the preseason, will handle punting and holding duties.

That will be an area to watch. Kicke Zane Gonzalez has yet to miss a field goal this season and changing holders can sometimes affect the kicking game.

To make room for Winslow, the Cardinals released tight end Darrell Daniels.
