ST. LOUIS _ With imposing weather expected in the area Wednesday night, the Cardinals postponed their game against Toronto before even the players headed to the ballpark.
The Cardinals and Blue Jays will complete their interleague series with a day-night doubleheader Thursday at Busch Stadium. Tickets for Wednesday's game will be good for the 6:15 p.m. St. Louis time game at Busch. Tickets for Thursday's previously scheduled 12:45 p.m. St. Louis time game will still be good for that game, and that game alone.
The team made the announcement before noon, as rain arrived in St. Louis.
Both teams are expected to keep their same starting pitchers, though the order of the pitchers has not yet been announced. The Cardinals have Carlos Martinez and Adam Wainwright both ready to start Thursday.
