Cardinals’ playoff chances not quite gone

The Arizona Cardinals are 3-7-1 and not really in the NFC playoff picture. However, they have not yet been eliminated from playoffs contention.

It just would take nearly a miracle.

The Cardinals would have to win their final five games. They would be 8-7-1.

The Minnesota Vikings, currently the sixth-seed in the NFC, would have to lose their final five games to go 8-8.

The Rams would have to lose one more game in addition to losing to the Cardinals twice.

The Bears, Panthers and Eagles would have to lose two more games and the Buccaneers would have to lose one.

Is that going to happen? It isn’t likely, mainly because the Vikings have been playing good football.

But the Cardinals can start all of this off right this weekend with a win over the Rams. Then they are 4-7-1.

As long as there is a chance, why not keep holding out hope? After all, Kyler Murray is great at comebacks. Why not a comeback end of the season?
