The Arizona Cardinals knew their Week 14 home contest against the Los Angeles Rams would be important. It is a divisional home game on national television against a team that has absolutely dominated them.
Having beaten the Rams on the road in Week 4, the Cardinals have the opportunity to sweep the season series. It will clinch a playoff spot, practically clinch the NFC West divisional title and keep them as the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
Now it feels like the stakes are even higher because the Rams fell victim to the pandemic and have five key players who have landed on the COVID list in the last few days. The Rams will be without starting right tackle Rob Havenstein, starting running back Darrell Henderson, starting tight end Tyler Higbee and two of their three top cornerbacks in Jalen Ramsey and Dont’e Deayon.
As a result, a few Cardinals players are in position to have big games with the absences.
