Cardinals out of Antonio Brown sweepstakes; deal for WR imminent

A deal is coming for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown. It is expected to happen by the end of the week, according to reports.

The Arizona Cardinals will not be involved.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, a trade should be in place by Friday.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, there are multiple teams involved but the Cardinals and New York Jets are out.

According to local reports from John Gambadoro and Kent Somers, the Cardinals did not have interest in Brown. Of course, it could be possible they had interest and inquired, only to find out Pittsburgh’s price tag, which killed the interest.

Whether the Cardinals never had any interest to begin with or they bowed out, as Rapoport suggests, this is one crazy change to the roster that is not going to happen for Arizona.
