The Arizona Cardinals made the roster move all had been waiting for. They officially reinstated cornerback Patrick Peterson to the active roster.
Peterson served a six-game suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances. He could have no contact at all with the team during his suspension.
He returned to the team on Monday. He will be in the starting lineup when the Cardinals take the field Sunday morning to play the New York Giants.
To make room for Peterson, the Cardinals placed offensive lineman Brett Toth on the non-football injury list. Toth missed practice all week with an illness.
