Cardinals now favored vs. Panthers with Cam Newton ruled out

The Arizona Cardinals were underdogs in their first two games of the season. In terms of betting, they are 2-0 against the spread. They enter their third game this season as a favorite.

It didn’t start that way.

The Cardinals are favored by 2.5 points, according to BetMGM. That is a five-point turnaround from the start of the week. The week opened with the Cardinals as 2.5-point underdogs. However, once Panthers quarterback Cam Newton’s availability for the game went into question because of a foot injury, the odds were taken down.

Newton will not play this weekend. Kyle Allen will start at quarterback, giving the Cardinals the edge for the first time this season.

Here is where the line stands as of Saturday morning:

Moneyline: Cardinals -134, Panthers +100

Point spread: Cardinals -2.5 (-106), Panthers +2.5 (-115)

Total: 45.5 (OVER +100, UNDER -121)
