Cardinals not altering football-related activities due to coronavirus yet

As worries about the coronavirus increase and different sports leagues take action to prevent its spreading, the Arizona Cardinals have not yet made any changes.

According to a statement released by the team and shared by ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss, football-related travel and activities have not changed.

That would include travel for college pro days, draft prospect visits and anything related to free agency next week.

The NBA has suspended its season. Arizona State University is moving from in-person instruction to online instruction. College basketball tournaments are being canceled and the NCAA Tournament is currently set to be played without fans.

Some NFL teams are beginning to bring traveling coaches and scouts home. As of now, that is not the plan for the Cardinals. League offices are sending home many employees.

The statement notes the situation is evolving and things could change at any moment.

There is no word yet as to whether the NFL will push back the start of free agency or make changes to the NFL draft.
