Cardinals near bottom of uniform rankings

The Arizona Cardinals should be used to being near the bottom of most power rankings. They were awful last season, they brought in a coach who was fired his college job. They drafted a quarterback in the top 10 last year and are now considering selecting one first overall.

There is a lot to question about the Cardinals.

However, they are near the bottom of power rankings that have nothing to do with actual football. They are almost last in USA TODAY’s uniform power rankings.

The rankings were inspired by the New York Jets’ new threads.

Arizona comes in only 30th.

They’ve contracted Buffalo syndrome, dabbling way too much. Do yourself a favor, Cards, and go back to the Pat Tillman editions featuring the state flag on the shoulders.

Now, the Cardinals haven’t changed their unis in over a decade, so it isn’t as if they have been dabbling. They added an alternate black uniform and a color rush version that is black with red lettering. Both are great looking jerseys.

Arizona has kept things simple. Some would love to see the state flag on the sleeve, like they had before, but the font of the numbers and lettering aren’t too crazy and the solid red or white with red sleeves are great.

Are they great uniforms? They are fine. They certainly aren’t bad, so unless every team’s uniform is good, the Cardinals should be ranked higher.
