Each week, it seems there are milestones in reach for the Arizona Cardinals and their players. This week, playing the Carolina Panthers at home in Week 3, that does not change.
Who has some milestones they can achieve?
Larry Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald has a couple of big milestones.
The first is he can pass Tony Gonzalez for No. 2 all-time in NFL history for career receptions. It would take 10 catches against the Panthers. He has 13 catches so far this season. He currently has 1,316 career receptions. Gonzalez had 1,325 and Jerry Rice is No. 1 with 1,549.
Fitz could become the first player in team history to start the season with three 100-yard receiving games if he gets 100 yards against the Panthers. It would be the first time he has had a three-game streak of 100-yard performances since 2008.
David Johnson

If he scores one touchdown of any kind, he will tie Mel Gray for seventh in team history in career touchdowns (46). With a rushing touchdown, he will tie John David Crow for third place in franchise history. With two touchdowns of any kind, he will pass Larry Fitzgerald for the most touchdowns in the first five seasons of a career. Johnson now has 45. Fitz had 46.
Kyler Murray

Murray could become the first player in NFL history to have 300 passing yards in the first three starts of his career as a rookie. Right now, the only two to do it in the first two starts is Murray and Cam Newton.
With 269 passing yards, he would set a team record for passing yards in the first three games of a season. Carson Palmer set the record in 2017 with 925.
With 23 completions, he will set a league record for completions in a player’s first three games. Mike Glennon now holds the record with 76, which he did as a rookie in 2013.
With 27 completions, he would break the team record for completions through three games. Kurt Warner now holds the record with 80.
Kliff Kingsbury

A win would be his first as Cardinals head coach. That perhaps is the most important milestone of the week.
