Cardinals latest NFL team to shut down facilities due to coronavirus

With increasing concern over the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., the Arizona Cardinals are joining other NFL teams in shutting down its offices. The team announced it was closing the facility for the rest of the month, except for limited personnel.

According to SI’s Alber Breer, they are also bringing home all their scouts and coaches currently on the road.

Cardinals now among the teams that have pulled their coaches and scouts from the road. They also took the measure of closing their offices today at noon local.

Outside of very limited exceptions, staff will work from home starting Monday, and through the end of the month.

Staff is being asked, with little exception, to work from home.

Free agency begins next week and the NFL has not announced a delay in the start of the new league year as of yet.

If that continues to be the plan, then Michael Bidwill, Steve Keim and Kliff Kingsbury might be among the few to work from the office and handle free agency.
