Cardinals’ Kyler Murray ‘feeling good,’ will play vs. Rams

Arizona Cardinals fans do not have to worry about whether or not quarterback Kyler Murray will start in Week 17 against the Los Angeles Rams. He declared that when he spoke with the media on Wednesday.

When asked if he would play on Sunday, he made it simple, “Yeah, I’ll be playing.”

He told reporters his leg is “feeling good.”

On the Cardinals’ final offensive play against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday, Murray stayed on the ground in apparent pain. Trainers tended to him and he walked off the field but head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters after the game he was being evaluated for a lower leg injury. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported it was a leg whip and that Murray would be fine.

So what happened exactly on that play?

“He hit me in the right spot. (That’s) pretty much it.”

That sounds less like a leg injury and more like something more in the groin.

Anyway, Murray was seen practicing on Wednesday by media members in attendance during the open portion. He should be good to go in a game that means everything to the Cardinals and their hopes for the postseason. If they win, they are in. If they lose, they go home.
