Cardinals injury report: RT Marcus Gilbert ruled out of season opener

The Arizona Cardinals released their final injury report of the week after practice on Friday and it brings some bad news. Starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert, who was limited in practice on Thursday with a knee injury, sat out Friday’s practice and has been ruled out of the game.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Friday Gilbert “got banged up” on Thursday.

This will test the team’s depth on the offensive line.

Linebacker Terrell Suggs also sat out Friday’s practice but it was not injury-related. He simply had the day off. Rookie offensive lineman sat out for the third day in a row with a knee injury. He also has been ruled out, although he likely would have been a healthy scratch on the inactive list in any case.

Linebackers Haason Reddick (knee) and Zeke Turner (hand) were limited again in practice and are officially questionable for the game.

Kingsbury has previously said Reddick wouldn’t play if he wasn’t comfortable and if he isn’t 100 percent. He said it would be close whether or not he would be able to go.

If he can’t go, Joe Walker will play in his place.
