Cardinals injury report: CB Chris Jones injures ankle; Jordan Hicks, Corey Peters return

The Arizona Cardinals hit the practice field on Thursday and their injury report was both better and worse. Cornerback Chris Jones apparently suffered an ankle injury on Thursday and was a new addition to the injury report. He was limited on Wednesday.

That could shift things around defensively for the Cardinals, who only have four cornerbacks on the roster.

In better news, both linebacker Jordan Hicks (groin) and defensive lineman Corey Peters (knee) returned to practice on a limited basis after missing Wednesday.

It would appear they are likely on track to play, although Friday’s injury report will tell us more.

Receiver Larry Fitzgerald and tight end Charles Clay were full participants after getting Wednesday or part of Wednesday off of practice.

Defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard (hamstring) and offensive lineman Lamont Gaillard (knee) were again unable to practice, as was the case for linebacker Zeke Turner (hand, hamstring).

Running back David Johnson (wrist) again practiced fully.
