Cardinals inactives: David Johnson active, Christian Kirk out

The Arizona Cardinals released their inactive list for Week 6 as they face the Atlanta Falcons this afternoon. There are no surprises.

Running back David Johnson, who dealt with a back injury all week, is active and will start at running back. Wide receiver Christian Kirk will not play.

The Cardinals do get a receiver back, as Damiere Byrd returns to the lineup.

Here are the inactives:

  • WR Christian Kirk
  • S Charles Washington
  • LB Dennis Gardeck
  • LB Zeke Turner
  • OL Lamont Gaillard
  • OL Brett Toth
  • DL Zach Allen

Special teams will be without three of its core players with Washington, Gardeck and Turner out. Chris Banjo fills in for Washington, Darrell Daniels does for Turner and newly signed Ramik Wilson likely fills in for Gardeck.

Linebackers Haason Reddick and Terrell Suggs both will be in the starting lineup despite being questionable for the game. Suggs did not practice all week and Reddick was limited Thursday and Friday.

The Cardinals, after dressing eight offensive linemen last week against the Bengals, are back to dressing only seven. Mason Cole and Joshua Miles are the only linemen on the bench.
