Cardinals in two-game losing streak vs. Lions

The Arizona Cardinals take on the Detroit Lions for the seventh time in the last eight years. It is a series the Lions lead historically and have a current winning streak but the Cardinals were on a role against Detroit.

The Lions have won the last two games. They defeated the Cardinals in the 2017 season opener in Detroit 35-23. It was the game when running back David Johnson broke his wrist and was lost for the season.

They also defeated the Cardinals 17-3 last year.

Prior to that, the Cardinals had won seven straight games against the Lions.

The Lions and the Cardinals first played one another in 1930. The game ended in a scoreless tie. The Lions lead the series 33-28-5 overall. The Cardinals are 17-14-3 at home.

With a new coach and new quarterback, it will be the perfect time for the Cardinals to start a new winning streak.
