Cardinals hosted UAB LB Tre Crawford Tuesday

Wednesday is the final day for official predraft visits for NFL teams and the Arizona Cardinals had players in for official visits on Tuesday. One such player is UAB linebacker Tre Crawford.

Draft Diamond’s Michael Sheppard wrote earlier in the week that Crawford would have a visit with the Cardinals and Jacksonville Jaguars.

ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss reported the visit took place on Tuesday, the eve of the final day of official visits.

Crawford is 6-3 and 225 pounds. He tallied 42 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, and two fumble recoveries last season.

At his pro day, he ran a modest 40-yard dash at 4.61 seconds but he had a remarkable 42-inch vertical leap.

He very likely could go undrafted, but the Cardinals often bring in priority free agents for official visits. And because the Cardinals also have five draft picks in the final two rounds, it is possible they could use one on him.

Keep an eye out for his name late in the draft or in the days that follow when undrafted rookie begin to sign with teams or have tryouts.
