Cardinals have little left to cover in virtual offseason

The Arizona Cardinals are reaching the end of their virtual offseason. They are also running out of things to cover in this strange offseason when no practice time on the field has been allowed.

“I think we’re running out of ideas without taking it to the field and actually executing it,” said coach Kliff Kingsbury in a video conference this week.  “You can only cover so many things without actually practicing it and I think we’ve about reached that point.”

Players will soon be off for the break before training camp, the beginning of which is still uncertain because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kingsbury does have a few things left he can share.

“A lot of situational football things,” he said. “We want to make they feel good about our offense, our defense and our special teams schemes, but then also touch on situational football where we’ve touched on it entering training camp.”
