The Arizona Cardinals have had their share of bad seasons. They have historically been one of the worst teams in the league. They were the worst team in the league in 2018.
Where does that season rank among the worst seasons in NFL history?
USA TODAY ranked the 100 worst teams in history. The Cardinals have eight of those teams. However, their historically bad season in 2018 was actually the best of those eight terrible teams in the list.
The 2018 Cardinals team was No. 59 on the list.
They had Larry Fitzgerald, Patrick Peterson, Chandler Jones and David Johnson … and still somehow managed to be the league’s worst team.
Next were the 1939 Cardinals, who went 1-10. They were no. 47.
Also on the list were the 2-10 1954 Chicago Cardinals at No. 42, the 1944 0-10 Card-Pitt team at No. 40, the 0-10 1943 Cardinals at 40a, the 1945 1-9 Cardinals at 40b, the 4-12 2003 Cardinals at No. 17 and the 2000 3-13 Cardinals at No. 16.
