Cardinals get versatility, high motor with 7th-round pick Michael Dogbe

The Arizona Cardinals addressed the depth of their defensive line in the third round of the NFL draft last month when they selected Zach Allen and then doubled up with Temple’s Michael Dogbe in the seventh round.

Dogbe brings two notable traits, in his opinion.

“My versatility and my non-stop motor,” he said on a conference call after he was drafted. “I can play inside and outside. I can play all along the defensive line. I did it all at Temple. I’m a guy who always going to run to the ball, give his heart out every play.

“I play with tremendous strength, speed to power in pass rushing. I do it all.”

The line lacked that last season with their last-ranked rush defense.

If he comes in and can play in the system with the same intensity he did in college, combined with a defensive line short on depth, he has a chance to get significant snaps as a rookie.
