Cardinals get look at Rutgers CB Blessuan Austin, other DBs at pro day

The Arizona Cardinals could be looking to add defensive back help in the 2019 NFL draft next month. A prospect they have looked at is Blessuan Austin.

The Cardinals were one of several teams with defensive backs coaches in attendance at Rutgers’ pro day, according to Draftanalyst.com’s Tony Pauline.

Austin tore his ACL in 2017, limiting him to four games and only played in one in 2018. In his one game in 2018 he had three tackles, a sack and two for a loss. he also had an interception.

According to Pauline, Austin was one of the top-rated cornerbacks from the senior class.

Rutgers also had another three defensive backs the Cardinals surely watched — cornerback Isaiah Wharton and safeties Kiy Hester and Saqaun Hampton.
